Just received my new watch, a Tudor Oysterdate Chrono 79260.
It's great to have a watch that looks very much like the fantastic Rolex Daytona 6263 "non-Paul Newman" at a fraction of the price. It's a very stylish and discrete watch. Nothing to do with the ugly Tudor Tiger.
Caseback and crown have the Rolex pedigree and the movement is the valjoux 7750 with an upgrade made specially for Tudor. This movement is the same that rolex used for its early Daytona up until 1987 when favor turned to the Zenith El Primero movement wich earned its' place in history in 1969 as the worlds first automatic integrated chronograph movement.
Man, I do love those screw down pushers.
Last picture shows both versions of the legendary Rolex daytona 6263, a watch that is still affordable for some watch collectors. Look close to see the similarities between this Rolex 6263 and the Tudor 79260.
