Omega Flightmaster "special request"

I can't resist adding some iconic Omega watches to my collection. The more I learn about them the more I start to appreciate their build quality, their great dial and case designs and their technical innovations.

I just received this fantastic Flightmaster Calibre 911 2th generation ref. 145.026 "Yellow hands" with the original 1162 bracelet. It's pretty hard to find and it looks just stunning both in pictures as in real. This version with Yellow hands was available on special request for higher legibility in aircraft cabins using infrared light.

Cut from a single block of Swedish stainless steel, the upper case is pressed and tempered sixteen times before it gets it's unique elliptical shape designed to fit the contours of the wrist comfortably ( extract from instruction manuel ).

The watch came with the original "filled in" International Guarantee booklet. That's always a nice bonus. The watch was bought by the original owner in 4127 Birsfelden, Switserland.
